When the five-time Prix d'Amérique winner and double Elitloppet winner Jean Michel Bazire stated that the relatively unknown Jushua Tree was "the best horse I have ever trained", of course the speculation started at the same time as the requirements changed.
The then four-year-old had lined up seven wins in a row won at 1:53,1 over 1 mile and 1/4. But his career was in its infancy. Jushua Tree won the Criterium Continental and earned a place in the Prix d'Amérique, but Bazire felt it was a year too early and instead had the horse went out and win his father's race, the Gr1-classed Prix Bold Eagle during the Prix d'Amérique weekend.
2025 will be Jushua Tree's year and his start of the Winter Meeting could hardly have been better than the impressive victory in the Prix Marcel Laurent with a brilliant timing: 1:54 over 1 mile and 1/4.
Jushua Tree's father is Prix d'Amérique winner Bold Eagle, in turn by Prix d'Amérique winner Ready Cash. The maternalline is starry. Dam Ma Sissi James trotted 1:57,2 over 1 mile and 1/4 and banked over 300.000 USD. Second dam Sissi des Monts is also the second dam of the Euro-millionaire and successful stallion Scipion du Goutier - who has produced this year's winner of the Elitloppet Horsy Dream!
