Sig Sauer
Muscle Hill - Sigilwig
Sig Sauer has had all eyes on him since he stepped into the auction in Lexington as a yearling and was priced at 200.000 USD. He won the New Jersey Classic as a two-year-old and four wins in five starts, but it was as a three-year-old that he was the new king of the crop.
A hopeless post position and heavy trafic meant that Sig Sauer had to settle for fourth place in the Hambletonian, but after that race, driver Andrew McCarthy has mostly looked over his right shoulder. Sig Sauer won the Kentucky Futurity in a whopping 1:49,3, he was exceptional in the Breeders Crown final winning in 1:50,4 where he once again defeated the other top horses of his generation.
Sig Sauer is a son of Muscle Hill with prime credentials, dazzling looks and fantastic genes. Mom Sigilwig had a life time record 1:57,2 as a two-year-old and Sig Sauer is her first offspring.
Second dam Pine Yankee is also the dam of the top horse Back of the Neck with a 1:50,4 mark and banking $1.5 million. Third dam Pine Schooner is one of the best breeding mares through the history with offsprings such as Broadway Donna,
Fashion Schooner and Cooler Schooner, dam of the Peter Haughton winner Real Cool Sam. The. maternal line goes back to the fabulous Lady Ann Reed. A stamp of quality that raises the pulse of Sig Sauer even further.
